Rabbit Adoptions
East Bay Rabbit Rescue hosts a monthly adoption event with rabbits from 5 different rescue groups from all over the Bay Area. If you have rabbit questions, volunteers will be happy to assist you. Rabbit experts can help you find the bunny of your dreams. Bring in your rabbit for a free nail trim or for a date. Our rabbit experts will help you find the perfect match. Everyone is welcome. Come browse our large assortment of toys and bunny treats.

Every animal has a unique personality and disposition. Because of this, the Hayward Animal Shelter takes the time to assess every adoptable animal and make a recommendation as to the best adoption environment.
Each animal is screened for behavioral attributes and recommended for various home environments. For example, adopting a younger animal may require more exercise, training, and attention - an older animal may mean less walks and more "hanging out" time.
Pets of the Week
Panda
Panda is a young, active, curious English Spot bunny. He needs an indoor home with room to hop, stretch and burn off some energy. Meet Panda at the Hayward Animal Shelter. Info: 293-7200.
Bianca
Bianca is an affectionate, laid back senior. Her blue eyes compliment her colorful fur, and her medium build fits perfectly on your lap. Meet Bianca at the Hayward Animal Shelter. Info: 293-7200.

For the final adoption to occur, all members of the household, including other pets, will need to meet the potential new addition to your family
Dog Adoptions $166.50
Dog adoptions include a 5 in 1 canine vaccination, Bordatella vaccination, rabies vaccination, sterilization, Hayward license tag (for Hayward residents only), and a microchip.
Cat Adoptions $103.00
Cat adoptions include a 5 in 1 feline vaccination, sterilization, a cardboard cat carrier, and a microchip.
Adopted animals cannot go home until they are sterilized. Animals are sterilized after adoption on the next available surgery date.
We also have other types of animals for adoption such as rabbits, hamsters, birds, and reptiles. Adoptions begin at $20.00.
Be sure to give consideration to our many special needs animals, which due to neglect, require some extra “TLC” and commitment. These pets are anxious to find a loving home.
